June and July Hauls and an Awesome Gift

First the Awesome Gift!

 Early in June a USPS Priority Mail package was tossed over my fence.  When I retrieved it I saw that it was from my Aunt Rosetta who just moved, and downsized, from Virginia to New Mexico.  She had texted me for my address a few days earlier and said something about jewelry, but my phone is not smart and the text was a bit garbled.  I'm not sure what I was expecting but it was not a package of this size!

I immediately opened it and was shocked and thrilled by what I found inside. Accessories, and lots of them!

I called my Aunt before I went through it all to give her my heartfelt thanks.  She told me that she had been regularly reading my blog, Hi Rosetta!, and thought that I might be able to wear some of the jewelry that she knew she wouldn't be wearing again.  I felt like a kid in a candy store going through this lovely gift and I have been wearing some of the new to me jewelry over the last few weeks.

This does actually go hand in hand with the spirit of my blog, accessories take up space just like clothing does, so if you are not wearing some of what you have it might be time to find new homes for your stuff.  The items in this box that I know I won't wear will be given to my nieces, to use as they see fit.  However I am keeping the majority of it for myself because I love it and I will wear it.

Thank You again Aunt Zetty!!  (There are plans to turn the belts into guitar straps, if that does happen I will post pictures)

And now for a thrifting round up.

I didn't thrift in June until the 27th and I thrifted rather early in July due to my lopsided 3 day weekend.  One of my favorite thrift stores, the Humane Society Thrift Store on Speedway is closed on Mondays which is my normal thrifting day.  So I decided to take advantage of having Sunday through Tuesday off for the 4th of July holiday and check it out on July 5th.  Here is what I bought.
