Change is hard. My library was closed for the first two weeks of June for a small renovation. I took some time off and also worked a few days at the branch I previously worked at for two years. It was wonderful seeing my old coworkers and regular patrons again. It was also fun going out to lunch at some old favorite spots. Carpooling with the Work Husband is always a joy. However the actual hour long commute and the getting up an hour earlier and home an hour later than usual was not particularly fun. And at the same time I was enjoying my old work family, I was missing my new work family. Just a reminder that there is a trade off for pretty much everything in life. After being back at my regular branch for two weeks I am just now starting to feel resettled. Despite the fact that most of my desk stuff is still in a box in my laundry room. Must take that to work next week and put it away!
