This has been one of those weeks where writing about what I wore seems more shallow than usual. I don't feel that I have the words to accurately express my feelings about the mass killing at a gay club in Orlando. Whether the man who killed and injured so many did it out of bigotry, self loathing, or something else the end result is the same; death, destruction and pain. Since I don't have the words I am going to rely on others who do.
"Hate, it has caused a lot of problems in this world, but it has not solved one yet." - Maya Angelou
"We can learn to see each other and to see ourselves in each other and recognize that human beings are more alike than we are unalike." - Maya Angelou
"Love is love is love is love is love is love is love is love, cannot be killed or swept aside." - Lin-Manuel Miranda
If you haven't seen Lin-Manuel Miranda read his sonnet at the Tony Awards you should.
